Our history
The HBHS Old Boys' Foundation exists to strengthen Hamilton Boys' High School through philanthropy, connection, and long-term support.
Established by former students who wanted to give back, the Foundation helps create opportunities that benefit current students, staff, and the wider school community.
OUR FOUNDERS
The HBHS Old Boys' Foundation was founded by Old Boy David Braithwaite and a small group of committed past students who recognised the importance of supporting the school beyond government funding. Their vision was to create a sustainable source of income that would help HBHS continue delivering an outstanding education for generations to come.
OUR PURPOSE
Our purpose is to encourage charitable giving, grow a protected endowment fund, and invest those funds responsibly so the income can support Hamilton Boys' High School over the long term. The Foundation exists to enhance the school's academic, sporting, cultural, and arts programmes, while also building stronger connections between the school, its Old Boys, and the wider community.
