Outdoor Education Grant

HBHS Old Boys' Foundation is pleased to share that it has provided a $4,000 grant to the Hamilton Boys’ High School Year 10 Outdoor Education programme.

This funding will enable the purchase of a replacement RHIB (rigid hull inflatable boat) for use by students during their outdoor activities.

The RHIB is a vital piece of equipment, acting as a support safety boat when pupils take part in paddling or swimming on open water.  It is also used for carrying camping gear, water, food, and any spare equipment needed while out on the water or at a campsite. This ensures students can take part in activities safely and have the supplies they need.

Having a trustworthy and functional boat is critical for student safety, allowing the Outdoor Education programme to organise more trips and provide new experiences for students.

The grant was made possible through the donations from our Foundation members and will help the programme continue running smoothly, giving Outdoor Education teachers the support and proper equipment they need.
