I attended HBHS from 2001 to 2005 and was involved in many facets of school life, including serving as Head Prefect in my final year and playing in a number of sports teams during my time there. After school, I studied law and finance in Dunedin before working in Auckland, London, and then returning to Auckland.

In 2021, my wife Chloe and I returned to the Waikato and are now fully entrenched here with our three young daughters. I am currently a partner at Norris Ward McKinnon, working in a commercial and corporate capacity.

I value the ongoing positive impact the school has on its current students, former students, and the wider Waikato community.

It would be hard to choose just one favourite teacher, but Mr de Groen was a standout. He was my English teacher for three of my final four years, and anyone who had him would appreciate how much of a character he was.
